So, more than a month in and I finally upload my first proper deviation for the year! This is my half of ~antichange and my Christmas-turned-new-year's-due-to-procrastination-and-art-block art trade, which I only finished my half of today. I've been working on it on and off for over a month now. Thank you for your patience, Panda!

The theme was supposed to be us in cosplay, but it's Summer here and during new year's I was in the mood, so I went with a Japanese Summer Festival/Natsu matsuri theme, albeit butchered somewhat by my lack of knowledge of Japanese culture. I'm not happy, but the exercise shall hopefully have helped me to improve.

Panda/Antichange, I hope you like it! Ecm, Tommy, Cass, check the people in the background and you might find your 'sonas. Ironically, Panda, Cass, Ecm and myself have all had haircuts recently, so our 'sonas here are outdated.

haha, you did a great job with the panda pattern. I have to agree with Itacchan that it's kind of eerily uncrowded, but then again crowds are hard to draw. it's neat how you varied between cell-shading and a more painterly style in this.

Thank you! Mmm, Itachi and you are right. I didn't really notice how eerie it was until you both pointed it out xD I'm trying to incorporate both cel-shading and more painterly stuff into my artwork nowadays, so I'm glad it works.

This is so amazing o_o

The only thing is it looks surprisingly uncrowded xD' Eerily so. I've been to a festival at new year and you literally can not see anything except people; can't even see the stall xD
