Obligatory Life Update 8D

Well it's kind of been a month since I've uploaded anything to dA (where the heck did that month go?) so I figured I'd drop a line to say I'm still around, I'm just lurking. Uni is eating my time and effort so I kinda keep not commenting on people's stuff D: Sorry about that guys, all your deviations are sitting in my messages, and I promise to get to them eventually... So when I comment on something you uploaded a month or more prior, that's why.


Uni is going oooookay I think. I'm not really enjoying it, and I'm somewhat nervously awaiting the results on a couple of major assignments, but I'm feeling better about it than I was a couple of weeks back. I still haven't made any friends D: But the past few weeks I've been managing to catch up with one of my old friends, ~anim3xangel, at Uni the past few weeks, which has been really great <3


On a side note, I never really know what to write in journals.


As a finishing note, like a bajillion other people I'm planning on trying to get into *TheReal-OCT. And continuing to be redundant, does anyone think I have a chance of getting in? xD I don't, but as I've been telling other people who've been thinking about entering, you can't get in if you don't try :3 Anyone else going to try? And if you don't know what it is, it's an OCT (Original Character Tournament), like the IDD except you, the artist, get to be in it, and you have the ability to summon (up to) three of your OCs. It's such an exciting concept! Take a look and maybe consider entering too, hm? C:

I love catching up with old friends! I did the same this year with a few of my friends. Unfortunately, I also drifted from people at the same time :[ Oh well ...

Also, I THINK YOU SHOULD ENTER! I heard Santheas/Icarus and Az/Belial from ianti were doing it O: BUT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE, PLUS cool characters! If you have time, that is ... don't be distracted from your good education! :P

I wouldn't be entering if I didn't think I would have time xD The fact that I want to enter it is actually motivating me to get more of my Uni work done/procrastinate less, which is good. Even though I doubt I'll get in xD;;; I'm glad you think I should enter x3

I'm considering entering, actually! c: I think you should enter. I mean, it's all in fun and it's good practice no matter the outcome c;

D: Gah, I wish you were having a better time at uni... I know what you mean about it eating up your time though ^^; But as my brother tells me; 'Uni is a billion times harder than year eleven so quit complaining >:T '

Oh my gosh please do! It would make me feel better knowing you're entering as well xD Cause at the moment I feel so alone >~< Plus I'd love to see what you come up with, and just imagine if we both got in and then ended up against each other *w* And you're totally right, it is really good practice that I wouldn't otherwise get; I've never done turnarounds before now U8; It's hard D: But kinda fun xD And thinking about how my characters would all react to each other is fun too. Have you thought about which characters you'll use if you enter?

It's just cause it's the first year, I think xD Hopefully next year will be better. I don't know though... Uni and High School are very different, so I can't say I would compare them like that. That's just me though xD

I got halfway through all the planning and writing stuff and suddenly realized that... it was a fighting thing! dun dunn! I've never done fighting scenes before - or really a comic before - so it will be REALLY interesting XD
turnarounds..? Oh gosh, I've never even heard of that XD I'm frightened now XDD
My characters I have chosen are!
Liviel - the protagonist from my manga
and
Tate - the antagonist - sort of - from my yet-to-be-completed novel.
Who are you choosing? :O

Yeahhh c: I suppose the good part is that you're doing something you really want to do, yeah? (At least I hope you are :| ) Whereas I still have to do maths (which is really itneresting and all that, but takes up so much time that could be spent drawing).

Still, I'm sure you'll do fine c: Gah, I'm so jealous, I wish I could be in uni now too. I'm sick of highschoool XD

I'm in the same boat there xD I've never done fighting scenes before, and it's been months since the IDD (and I sucked then) and I haven't drawn a single comic since. Turnarounds are like... when you draw a character from the front, side, back, and generally you do a three-quarter view as well but they only require front back and side.

Ooh, so you only have two characters? And one is a protagonist and the other is an antagonist oAo Even if they're from different things, that still sounds like a really interesting pair up xD But asdf, I'll be looking forward to seeing Liviel x3 He seems cute, I wanna know about hiiim.

I'm using Jeni, Fienne and Sam. Fienne and Jeni I draw a fair bit but Sam... I haven't drawn a proper picture of in over a year now xD I use all three of them for roleplaying, though. Using them all together in a comic is going to be a great experience x3

No, all the stuff I want to do happens next year xD So I'm still doing stuff I don't want to do this year :'D
Bah, I hated maths D: I didn't do it in year 12 xD Guess I should be glad I at least don't have to do that.

I don't know what else to say besides, hang in there. I know school is difficult, but if you can just tough it out, you'll come out on top. It's all about time management.

I'm probably the last person who should be giving this type of advice, but I still think it's good advice. :'D

It'll be okay.
